Players Tour Tournament Point Guideline
Net Score will be used. Handicap will be adjusted for each course.  Points will be awarded to all players who complete the round on a Tour play date.  Maximum number of points allotted for each play date in each flight = 2910, with up to 10 players participating in each flight.  Point allocation per event will be as follows:

1st  Place  – 1000

2nd  Place –   750

3rd  Place   500

4th  Place    250

5th  Place   150

6th  Place   100

7th  Place     75

8th  Place     50

9th  Place     25

           10th  Place     10

Total      2910

Even though there are 2910 total points available in each flight for each event, the actual number of points awarded will be dictated by the number of players in each flight who complete the round. So, if 5 players complete the round in Flight 1, only the points for the first 5 places will be awarded in that flight. This will prevent giving an advantage to those who play on a day in which not as many tour players are playing.

Play-date ties: The points for the places tied will be added together and divided by the number of players in the tie. Each tying player will be awarded the resulting number of points. (Example: 1st and 2nd place tie; 1000 + 750 = 1750 ÷ 2 = 850 points each to 1st and 2nd. )
Results: Results for each play date will be posted on the EWGA website the following week. PT Coordinators maintain a spreadsheet that is available upon request so that participants may check the standings.

Winners: The overall 2010 Players’ Tour champion will be determined by the player from among all flights who has the highest number of points. First-, second- and third-place winners will be awarded according to point totals in each flight (In the flight from which the PT Champion was pulled, the 2nd-place winner will become the flight winner.) In case of a tie, either for PT champion or individual flight champion, the winner will be determined by a scorecard playoff. Each player’s BEST back nine net score from among her 4 best rounds will used. If that does not produce a winner, each player’s BEST front nine net score from among her best 4 rounds will be used.

Keeping score: Each PT player should trade scorecards with another PT player. (If there are three PT players in your group, Player 1 scores Player 2,’s card, 2 scores 3 and 3 scores 1; if there is only one PT player in a group, exchange with a non-PT player.) Although you are formally keeping score for your competitor at the top of the card, you should keep your own score, informally, at the bottom of the card. Verify score after each hole. At the end of the round, verify the score for each hole with your partner, attest the card you are scoring, exchange back to get your own card, then sign your own card and turn it in to the PT coordinator (or her designee).
